Canal Street Bus & Streetcar Terminal Project

ILSI Engineering, as a subconsultant to Infinity Engineering, will provide design engineering services and construction administration.  The scope of work includes the track designs at the end of the Canal Streetcar Line.   The proposed layout has the tracks located in the travel lanes of Canal Boulevard and uses the first bus turn area as a streetcar stop and turnaround.  Part of the scope for the prime consultant includes a terminal to be located in the first block of Canal Boulevard at City Park Avenue.

The track engineering includes the following:

• Vertical and horizontal track alignment and routing;
• Rail profile grades;
• Coordination and prescription of street grades relative to rail profile grades;
• Track switches and junctions; and
• Track drains
